Peter Bohler was born in New Jersey to a Swiss mother and an American father. He studied photography and engineering at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire.

Now based in Los Angeles, he spends his free time in the Sierra Nevada rock climbing and skiing.

In 2010, Peter Bohler won the Swiss Photo Award for Editorial Photography for his pictures of the recreated Iraqi village in Fort Irwin.

He is a member of 13 Photo in Zürich and distributes stock through Corbis.

Clients include Numero, Hurley, Good, Intersection, and Wallpaper.
